Some of you probably don't know this but I love any literature that involves spirituality (not to be confused with religion or religious doctrines), sociology, or just plain observations about human nature, so I'd like to share with you a lovely quote from a book written by Gordon Livingston:
"People present themselves for psychotherapy burdened by grievances. Abusive childhoods, alcoholic parents, bad marriages- misfortunes of every type- are offered as "explanations" for one's current mood or behavior. The disadvantage of these formulations is that, though we have all been shaped to some extent by our past, none of us has the power to change what had happened."
So, it's time to leave the past behind- or at least try to come to terms with it- and manifest the change you want to happen in your life. It's easy for some but most of the time it's a lot of grinding for the rest of us- but I hope you'll find it in yourself to keep going no matter what kind of mistakes and obstacles you have to go through.
Happy rockin' New Year guise!!
Wooh, so much gunpowder. I feel high.
